Cory Allen Michael Monteith (May 11, 1982-July 13, 2013) was a Canadian actor and musician best known for his portrayel of Finn Hudson on the show Glee. He had been romantically linked to Taylor Swift and had possibly inspired her to write the song Mine. He had even co-starred in the film Monte Carlo opposite her friend Selena Gomez. He was in a relationship with his Glee co-star Lea Michele from 2011 until his death on July 13, 2013 at age 31.

Upon learning of his death, Taylor posted "Speechless. And for the worst reason.” on her Twitter account.
