Taylor Swift - For Your ACM Consideration

For Your ACM Consideration is a video Taylor Swift made with Scott Borchetta, the founder of her record label Big Machine Records. The video was posted on March 13th, 2014. It features Taylor making fun of herself, in advance to generate more votes for Entertainer of the Year at the ACM Awards - or Academy of Country Music.

Composition

In the opening shot, it features Borchetta looking at a computer, realizing he needs to shoot the ACM video. He shows a to-do list for Taylor, with the bottom writing inscribed showing "ACM Video". Borchetta proceeds to call Taylor, so they can make the video, with the ringtone of A$AP Rocky, Drake, and 2 Chainz song "Fuckin' Problems". She picks up the phone and says, "Hello?"

Scott answers with, "Hey Taylor, it's Scott, hey I need to ask you to do something for me."

"You know what, I am actually in the middle of something right now. It's-it's just pretty pressing, but um, can you hold on one second? Do you have a minute? I'll be right back. Ok, ok, ok. I can't wait to talk to you!" Taylor responds.

In actuality, it shows her painting her nails a light blue and drying them, while Borchetta is put on hold and waits, and she talks to another woman. Borchetta repeats "Taylor", eventually getting mad and shouting at her for not responding. He states that if he didn't know better, "she'd be playing with that fucking cat".

Responding to this, Taylor plays with her cat, calling it affectionate nicknames. Her cat proceeds to end the call, while Borchetta looks back at the camera and smiles, and checks off the ACM Video from the to-do list.

The ending shot is of print lettering from Taylor that states, "Thank you for helping me with my to do list (and everything else...) Love, Taylor".

Outcome

Despite the video being made, the award went to George Strait, who is considered the "King of Country".
