Born and raised in a musical family in Los Angeles, Este, Danielle, and Alana grew up playing in cover bands with their parents, honing their musical skills along the way. They started performing together as HAIM in 2007 but didn't officially become a band until 2012. Their debut EP Forever helped them get a record deal with Polydor Records as well as a management deal with Jay-Z's Roc Nation. Their debut album, Days Are Gone, which features the singles "If I Could Change My Mind" and "Falling", was released in 2013. They also collaborated with Calvin Harris on the song "Pray to God", which is off of his 2014 album Motion.
The girls are currently working on their second album.
