Jacob Benjamin "Jake" Gyllenhaal (born December 19, 1980) is an American actor who had dated Taylor Swift. The song All Too Well, which is off of Taylor's 2012 album Red, is most likely about him. He is also rumored to have inspired Taylor's song Shake It Off. When he dated Taylor, he reportedly broke up with her through text.
Career
Gyllenhaal, who comes from a show business family (his father Stephen Gyllenhaal is a film director, his mother Naomi Foner a film producer and screenwriter, his sister Maggie an actress, and her husband Peter Sarsgaard also an actor), made his film debut at age 10 in the 1991 film City Slickers and, since 1993, has gone on to star in such films as Donnie Darko (2001), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), Brokeback Mountain (2005), Jarhead (2005), Love and Other Drugs (2010), Prisoners (2013), and Nightcrawler (2014). Nightcrawler earned Gyllenhaal a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Drama.

In addition to having dated Taylor, whom he had been introduced to by actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Gyllenhaal
has also dated actresses Kirsten Dunst and Reese Witherspoon as well as model Alyssa Miller. He is now being romantically linked to his Southpaw co-star Rachel McAdams.
