Kendrick Lamar (born Kendrick Lamar Duckworth on June 17, 1987) is an American rapper, best known for his hits "i" and "King Kunta". He is featured on a remix of Taylor Swift's song "Bad Blood" and appeared in the music video. He also returned to re-record his verses on the song in 2023, which was featured on the digital deluxe edition of 1989 (Taylor's Version). Besides having collaborated with Swift, he has also worked with other artists such as Imagine Dragons (remix of "Radioactive"), Big Sean, and Eminem, among others. He has won 7 Grammy Awards.
When Swift's 1989 went to No. 1, she celebrated on Instagram by uploading a video of her in the car lip syncing to Lamar's hit. "I really wish I was best friends with Kendrick Lamar, and I'm not, and it makes me sad daily," Swift shared. Lamar kept the public discussion going in a November interview with The Fader.
